The scope of work for each project is defined in a separate written contract signed by both parties before work begins.
Free on-site estimates are provided without obligation. An estimate is not a guaranteed price. Final pricing is confirmed in the written project contract. Any changes to scope, materials, or site conditions discovered during construction may result in a change order, which will be presented to you in writing before additional work proceeds.
We do not provide binding quotes by phone, email, or through online forms without an on-site assessment. Any figures communicated informally are approximate and subject to revision after a site visit.
Project start dates are confirmed in the written contract and are subject to weather, permit timelines, and material availability. We will communicate any schedule changes as early as possible.
Cancellation terms are specified in your project contract. In general:
Payment schedules are specified in each project contract. Typical payment structure includes a deposit at contract signing, one or more progress payments tied to project milestones, and a final payment upon substantial completion.
Final payment is due upon the earlier of: (a) final city inspection approval, or (b) substantial completion of the work as defined in the contract.
Overdue balances may be subject to a late fee as specified in your contract.Premier Santa Barbara Deck Builder reserves the right to suspend work on projects with overdue balances.
For projects requiring a building permit, Premier Santa Barbara Deck Builder will apply for the necessary permits on your behalf as specified in the project contract. Permit fees are typically included in the project cost or billed at cost.
You are responsible for disclosing any HOA rules, deed restrictions, or easements that may affect the project. Delays or additional costs caused by undisclosed restrictions are not the responsibility of Premier Santa Barbara Deck Builder.
Premier Santa Barbara Deck Builder warrants its workmanship against defects for a period of one year from the date of substantial project completion, unless a different warranty period is specified in writing in the project contract.
Material warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and are passed through to you. We will assist you in pursuing a manufacturer warranty claim where applicable.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, acts of nature, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. It also does not apply to work performed by others on or adjacent to our work after project completion.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Premier Santa Barbara Deck Builder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of this Site or the performance of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability in connection with any project shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Premier Santa Barbara Deck Builder for that specific project.
