Premier Santa Barbara Deck Builder was founded in 2015 by a small crew that had spent years doing subcontract deck work for larger general contractors in the Santa Barbara area. The idea was simple: homeowners here deserve a dedicated deck builder who knows the local terrain, understands the permitting process, and shows up when they say they will.
Santa Barbara is not a typical market. The hillside lots on the Riviera and Mission Canyon require a completely different structural approach than a flat suburban yard. The city's Architectural Board of Review adds a layer of design approval that catches many out-of-town contractors off guard. The coastal air - that marine layer rolling in off the Pacific - is hard on metal fasteners and untreated wood. We've built for all of it.
